Overview

The Redragon M612 Predator ($15.89) is a wired gaming mouse with 8000 DPI, 11 programmable buttons, and RGB lighting. The Logitech G305 Lightspeed ($29.99) is a wireless gaming mouse with a 12,000 DPI HERO sensor, LIGHTSPEED wireless, and 250-hour battery life. The Redragon is nearly half the price, but the Logitech brings wireless capability and a more refined sensor.

Key Differences

The G305's wireless LIGHTSPEED connection is the headline feature — it delivers lag-free performance that's indistinguishable from wired, freeing you from cable drag. The G305's HERO sensor (12,000 DPI) also tracks more accurately than the Redragon's 8000 DPI sensor, with less acceleration and smoothing. The Redragon counters with more buttons (11 vs 6) and a lower price. Build quality is noticeably better on the G305, with tighter construction and more premium materials. The Redragon's RGB is more elaborate, while the G305 keeps things simple. The G305's 250-hour battery life means you rarely think about power. The Redragon's rapid-fire button is a niche feature that some gamers find useful.

Which Should You Buy

Choose the Redragon M612 if you're on an extremely tight budget and want lots of programmable buttons — at $16, it's hard to complain. Choose the Logitech G305 if you can stretch to $30 — the wireless freedom, better sensor, and superior build quality make it a much more satisfying daily driver. The $14 premium buys a lot of improvement.

Verdict

The Logitech G305 is worth the extra $14 for most buyers. Wireless convenience, a better sensor, and stronger build quality add up to a significantly better experience. The Redragon M612 is fine if $16 is truly your ceiling, but the G305 is the smarter investment.
